Raise your hand if you have eaten a bowl of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream with brownies? Since the 70’s I have been a fan of Ben and Jerry’s since the ’70s. Well with me today is the leader of the company that bakes those brownies, Mike Brady. Mike is the President and CEO of the Greyston Foundation and Greyston Bakery. Greyston is building on the organization’s 37-year heritage as a leading social enterprise. Greyston is best known for its practice of Open Hiring which embraces an individual’s potential by providing employment opportunities regardless of background or work history. Mike’s TED Talk is titled, “Why We Hire Unemployable People”, go ahead, google it, I’ll wait. Mike is now leading the vision to launch The Greyston Center for Open Hiring, a non-profit with offices opening around the county. Greyston – New York’s first Certified B-Corporation that bakes over 35,000 pounds of brownies a day and they are delicious.  You can follow Mike at @themikebrady
